So, who are we?

Based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, Sustainable Style UK upcycles (Repurposes) and restores beautiful pieces of furniture, some of which were destined for landfill.

This is more of a passion for me than a commercial business, we therefore keep our prices to a bare minimum.

In brief…….

Having worked tirelessly for nearly fifty years in the contract furnishing industry, I finally decided it was time to embrace the joys of retirement.
After leading such a busy, sometimes hectic life filled with creativity and collaboration within that vibrant environment, I found myself feeling a bit adrift at sea. So, I took the plunge and decided to embark on the exciting adventure of starting a new career, utilizing some of the valuable skills I had artfully acquired during that remarkable half century of dedicated work.

I was privileged to have worked alonside so many gifted craftsmen, Carpenters, Painters, French polishers, Upholsterers and the like., many of whom are sadly no longer with us.

I am now using those skills acquired to bring old furniture back to life.

Our restyled furniture has been hand-painted and hand-finished, and being vintage it has been around for a long time with many years under its belt. I'm sure that you will agree that any minor imperfections that may be present only contribute to its character, charm and history.
